Cortina d’Ampezzo (Belluno), 26 January 2023 – Everything is ready in Cortina d’Ampezzo for two days of Men’s Alpine Ski World Cup, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January, with two super-G recovery races, originally scheduled in Lake Louise and in Val Gardena.
Hannes Trinkl and Raimund Plancker, FIS (International Ski Federation) race director and vice race director, respectively, for the World Cup speed tests, today inspected the Olympia together with race director Matteo Gobbo.
«After three days of Women’s World Cup last weekend, we have prepared the track again and today we are completing the watering. I’d like to thank the ISTA lift company and all the men at work on the track. They’ve done a formidable job» explains Matteo Gobbo. «Compared to the Women’s races the Men’s track will be longer. The start has been raised by 50m, for a total vertical drop of 650m»
The weather forecast is promising a beautiful sunny weekend and Cortina is getting ready to welcome the final World Cup speed discipline before the World Championships in Courchevel.

Saturday’s superG is scheduled for 11.20, and Sunday’s start is planned for 10.30.
